McKena Schrader, APC

McKena is dedicated to supporting individuals through life’s transitions, emotional challenges, and personal growth. With a client-centered approach and a deep commitment to mental wellness, she creates a safe and affirming space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. McKena holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Jacksonville State University, and is currently practicing under supervision as she works toward full licensure.
She integrates evidence-based practices such as humanistic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and solution-focused techniques to help clients navigate issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. With a background in motivational interviewing and substance use disorders, McKena brings both professional insight and genuine empathy to the counseling relationship. She believes in the power of collaboration and strives to meet each client with curiosity, compassion, and a belief in their capacity for change.
In addition to clinical work, McKena is passionate about mental health advocacy, continuing education, and fostering inclusive spaces that honor each client’s unique story and identity.
