As the owner of Balanced Living and a graduate of New York University’s Department of Applied Psychology, Catrin will provide you with a non-judgmental approach to change. She has 20 years of diverse experience helping her clients move towards healing and balance. We will work towards relief for you by utilizing an integrative approach; focusing on mind and body.
Catrin has a wide range of experience working with students, seniors, adults, adolescents, and Public Safety personnel in an outpatient setting, as well as a strong background in forensic counseling. She specializes in the treatment of: depression and anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem and life cycle concerns. Catrin assists her clients in the development of effective communication and boundary/limit settings by utilizing mindful cognitive behavioral techniques, when appropriate. She provides support to my clients by helping them use their own strengths to reach their inner peace and balance.
Catrin is also a Clinical Supervisor and enjoys providing her experience and passion to students who want to pursue a career in Counseling. This is done through a one on one approach, which will give the students a strong foundation from which to build upon.
Catrin is specialized in trauma treatment and she is trained and utilizes EMDR in her practice. Please see further information regarding EMDR under Services.
