Neely Parker, APC
Neely is an Associate Professional Counselor who holds a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mississippi State University. She currently practices under supervision while working toward full professional licensure. Neely provides a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel safe to be themselves and explore the challenges they are experiencing.
Neely enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of presenting concerns. She has a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, and significant life transitions. She also has a special interest in supporting women through pregnancy and the postpartum period as they navigate the emotional, relational, and personal changes that can accompany motherhood.
Neely incorporates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and expressive and creative therapy techniques. She especially enjoys incorporating creative interventions when appropriate, recognizing that not every client processes or expresses emotions in the same way. When working with children and adolescents, she uses developmentally appropriate and engaging techniques to help them communicate their experiences and build healthy coping skills.
Above all, Neely believes that every client deserves to feel heard, understood, and respected. Her goal is to meet each client where they are, provide a space where they feel comfortable being open and honest, and work collaboratively to help them navigate life’s challenges. She views counseling as a partnership and strives to help clients recognize their strengths, develop effective coping skills, and move toward meaningful and lasting change.
