**Working with children, adolescents and adults**
For Carole, psychotherapy begins with trust. Her approach is collaborative and empathic. Carole has nine years experience working with children, adolescents, and their families. She loves helping children and their families find their self-worth by helping them express their true feelings so they can understand one another. Carole utilizes her training and experience in child development studies to help children, adolescents, and guardians understand each other in appropriate ways.
She keeps in mind that each child and family is unique, seeking to understand without judgement.
Carole has worked with a variety of presenting issues including: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, mood disorders and coping techniques. She is trained in play therapy techniques, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and utilize Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT) and person-centered modalities to provide an individualized approach in therapy. Carole promises to allow clients and their families to feel valued and heard while motivating them to become the best versions of themselves. She is dedicated in celebrating clients’ individuality and allowing clients the space to explore their story, and in return gain confidence, awareness, and self-acceptance.
It would be her pleasure in guiding your child/adolescent and your family to a healthier and meaningful life. She would love to hear from you.
Carole is specialized in trauma treatment and she is trained and utilizes EMDR in her practice. Please see further information regarding EMDR under Services.
